Please join us to begin the end abortion in Virginia.
Twice a month 40 days for life (40daysforlife.org) conducts a Rosary prayer vigils the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 9:00am to 10:00am outside of Planned Parenthood in Richmond. You can take part in a global mission to end abortion and save babies in the womb. We will start participating the on 15 May 2021.
We will meet at the church at 8:45am and depart in a caravan to drive to Richmond. Due to health restrictions carpooling is not recommended. If you prefer to meet us at the clinic please do not park in Planned Parenthood or VCU’s parking lot. We do not stand on the property, walk on the grass, or block the driveway entrance. Peaceful and prayerful are our first priorities always. Bring the love of Christ to all you encounter. The address is Planned Parenthood 201 N Hamilton St Richmond, VA 23221.
From the 40 days for life web site: “We encourage a positive, prayerful presence outside abortion facilities to show God’s love and mercy to those who visit and work at the abortion centers. This approach avoids shouting, confrontation with patients and employees, and the use of graphic abortion images. This is the approach that we have been led to embrace through our own prayer, fasting and spiritual discernment. In campaigns in more than 700 cities on six continents, this effort has produced positive, measurable results.” And “40 Days for Life focuses on the spiritual aspects of the battle to end abortion. We frequently cite 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal their land.” We have the opportunity to cooperate with God in carrying out His work. We put our faith in His will and prayerfully discern how He wishes us to respond.” 40 days for life is not political. They do not lobby or support candidates. They pray for an end to abortion. That is all they do.
